Thought to have originated in Tibet thousands of years ago, Reiki was rediscovered by a Japanese Buddhist monk in the nineteenth century. Anahata/ The Heart Chakra is located between the breasts. It influences love and unity. Its organs are heart, parts of the pancreas and the thymus gland. It effects detoxification processes and musculature's state of relaxation. The chant is “Yam”
Manipura/ The Solar Plexus Chakra is located just above the belly button. It influences power, domination, fear, karma and separation. Its organs include the digestive system, liver, solar plexus, nervous system and joints. It relates to the musculature's state of tension, energy metabolism and detoxification through elimination. The Sacral Chakra is an earth chakra located just below the belly button. It influences joy in life, closeness, relationships and desire. Its organs are urogenital, kidneys, skin, arms and everything fluid in the body. The chant is “Bam”
